Situational items:
- Hand of Midas should be picked up if Broodmother had a good early game. It increases her experience greatly, especially with the level 10 talent.
- Black King Bar`s spell immunity synergies with the huge lifesteal from Insatiable Hunger and makes her very hard to kill.
- Desolator gives excellent damage and an armor reduction debuff increasing Broodmother`s push and farm speed.
- Assault Cuirass boosts the attack speed and armor of Broodmother and her spiders, while also reducing the armor of nearby towers, allowing her to push faster.
- Manta Style offers bonus attack speed, damage, movement speed and stats. The active ability, Mirror Image, can be used to dispel debuffs such as Dust of Appearance, dodge stunning projectiles such as Storm Hammer, or to increase Broodmother`s ability to push lanes and towers.
- Butterfly offers bonus attack speed, damage and armor, increasing Broodmother`s carry potential. The only downside is that the enemy most likely purchases Monkey King Bar on their carries to counter you anyway, making the evasion of Butterfly less useful.
- Monkey King Bar can be bought to dominate enemies with evasion. - Broodmother is usually played alone in the offlane, as the invisibility and regeneration from her webs allow her to face off against multiple opponents.
- Broodmother is arguably the best early lane pusher in the game. A good player must take advantage of this.
- An aggressive Broodmother can often take down a tier two tower while other players are still farming.
- Beware of enemy Sentry Ward Item Changelogs Sentry WardB A form of plant originally grown in the garden of a fearful king. - Remember that you can use Tangos, or a Quelling Blade to take out Sentry Wards quickly.
- Broodmother is very effective against solitary targets, but against multiple enemies she suffers; as her lifesteal can generally only replenish the damage taken from a solitary foe.
- Broodmother`s primary escape mechanism is to move into her webs onto impassable terrain when attacked.
- Although Broodmother is usually pushing lanes alone, she is still sometimes needed in teamfights. It is important when playing her to know the right time to push, and when to team fight.
- Though Broodmother excels in the hard lane, she can also control and farm parts of the enemy jungle.

Spawn Spiderlings

- Spawn spiderlings acts as a ranged nuke, and is very useful for killing weak enemies that are fleeing.
- As a group, spiderlings deal a surprising amount of damage, especially in the early game. Use them to harass opponents in lane.

- Use Spin Web on top of an enemy tower before diving in on weak heroes. The regeneration and move speed bonus combined with Broodmother`s slow is very effective for diving on heroes with no reliable escape or stun.
