Phased is a status that allows units to pass through other units, ignoring collision size Collision size is a unit s internal size that cannot be passed through by other units. This allows units to block each other with their bodies. Most heroes have the same collision size, regardless of their . Players do not encounter them, unless they play as, with or against dota2 , but excluding buildings Buildings are special units that are immune to most spells, use structure armor, and are immobile. Destroying a building rewards you with a bounty, similar to most creeps or heroes. Destroying towers rewards the entire dota2 . Other units can also walk through a stationary phased unit as if it is not there.

There are two different kinds of phased movement, the more common kind which only allows pathing through units, and the rare kind which allows the unit to walk through anything, including buildings, cliffs and trees. The latter is more commonly referred to as unobstructed movement. Flying movement is similar to phased movement, with only very small differences, one being that flying units do collide with each other, pushing each other away, and the other being flying units hovering a certain distance above the ground.

Sources of unobstructed movement

These abilities allow affected units to path through buildings, cliffs and trees, on top of allowing them to path through other units.

1 Meat Hook and Nether Swap grant unobstructed pathing to units put onto cliffs until they leave the cliff or for up to 5 seconds, whichever is shorter.

2 Reflection and Haunt illusions have unobstructed pathing.
