• Timbersaw relies on dealing massive amounts of magical and pure damage, as such, an ally that is in Cold Embrace is a very easy target for Timbersaw.
• Thanks to his Reactive Armor, Timbersaw can easily shrug off the damage he receives from his allies if he is targeted by Winter`s Curse.

• Cold Embrace is not salvation against Luna`s Lucent Beam and Eclipse. She also relies mostly on magic damage when she is killing heroes.
• Luna`s Moon Glaives will not hit hero affected by Winter`s Curse, making her weak against allies, but strong versus enemies.
• Luna has bigger night vision provided by Lunar Blessing than Winter Wyvern when affected by Arctic Burn (Winter Wyvern`s night vision is 400, while Luna`s night vision is maximally 1000).

• Song of the Siren can be used to nullify the effects of Winter`s Curse, and when upgraded with Aghanim`s Scepter   Item   Upgraded Abilities   Old Abilities   Lore   Changelogs     Aghanim s Scepter The scepter of a wizard with demigod-like powers. • If Winter Wyvern is reckless enough to put an ally in Cold Embrace, Naga Siren will be able to use her Ensnare to extend the disable on the hero affected by Cold Embrace.

Good against...

• Winter`s Curse can kill one of Meepo`s clones killing Meepo and all of his clones. If Meepo`s clones are grouped up upon casting Winter`s Curse, Meepo will literally kill himself.

• Cold Embrace will prevent your ally from being damaged when he is in a Duel
• Also, casting Winter`s Curse at Legion Commander while an ally is in a Duel will stun her for most of the duration, possibly preventing lethal damage dealt to your ally.
• Legion Commander`s high late game damage can be turned against her teammates using Winter`s Curse. (Cast it on someone when Legion Commander is nearby)

• His many summon useful for attack himself while he is cursed, also any summon heroes. (Lycan, Terrorblade, Arc Warden, Naga Siren, Warlock) Additionally, his aura will make enemies even more dangerous to each other during winter`s curse.

• If she knows the real one, her curse can make all Chaos Knight illusions attack himself. Even if she does not, she can have Chaos Knight and all of his illusions attack one of his allies.

• He is helpful while Auroth curses his allies. His high speed attack and bash will kill cursed one fast.

Works well with...

• Arcane Aura will grant you a good mana regen early and mid game, allowing you to be more aggressive with your Arctic Burn and Splinter Blast.
• Winter`s Curse can also set up for a Freezing Field, but ensure this is cast just before, or after the curse has worn off.

• When Winter Wyvern has cast Winter`s Curse, Dark Seer`s Vacuum can pull in nearby foes who weren`t taunted already.

• Magnus` Reverse Polarity can bunch up a lot of enemies together. Cast Winter`s Curse when the stun has ended to ensure all taunted enemy heroes kill the victim quickly enough.

• Winter`s Curse can set up for an easy Poison Nova, though keep in mind that the poison damage will not affect any enemy while they are still affected by the curse.
• Venomancer`s Plague Ward and Venomous Gale, combined with Winter Wyvern`s Arctic Burn and Splinter Blast can cripple enemy heroes in the lanning phase. The slows from all 4 abilities can easily ensure a kill.

• Likewise with Venomancer, a Winter`s Curse can also set up for an easy Black Hole. Ensure that Midnight Pulse is used beforehand to maximise damage.
